Meet the Interns – Part One

It’s time to meet this year’s Northbridge interns, Amisha and Rich! This week we’ll meet Amisha Divadkar!

Amisha will be a senior when she returns to Stonehill College this Fall, completing her double major degree in Healthcare Administration and Communication Studies. Amisha has been homeschooled, has studied abroad in Costa Rica, and now she works closely with the residents and staff of Bayberry at Emerald Court in Tewksbury. Amisha says Adam and Juliann, Bayberry’s Executive Director and Business Office Manager, along with her Northbridge Mentor, Lauren –have really shaped her experience and taught her the most. Amisha loves interacting with the residents. In the photo above, Amisha tagged along for one of the weekly trips to Strongwater Therapeutic Farm, where Bayberry residents get to care for, pet, and enjoy the horses.

So why does Amisha love working in assisted living? “Well,” she says, “I feel I belong in a beautiful place where we care for people – which is extremely humbling and rewarding work.. and this community is just that.”

Amisha has learned about every aspect of running a successful assisted living community, and strives to continue building that career upon graduation. For the final two weeks of her internship, Amisha will be implementing a process improvement initiative for our Care2Learn program, as well as a Marketing based project. We can’t wait to see all her hard work!

So next time you’re at Bayberry, be sure to stop and chat with Amisha!
